My name is Renata Engel, and I'm passionate about riding. I'm a horse trainer by profession but my hobby is building and riding custom bikes. I have a wide assortment, from vintage, to custom cruisers, to classic 90's choppers, and BMX. I'm lucky enough to live by the beach so I roll pretty much daily.
A friend of mine recently acquired a Troxus Skyhopper, which caught my eye. I'd been looking for a bike to take to horse shows that would easily fit in the front of my trailer. The Skyhopper with its compact design, powerful motor, and sturdy construction seemed perfect, so I purchased one.
I love the wide tires for getting around the dirt and gravel roads at horse shows, the full fenders for rainy rides, and the powerful motor for climbing hills with ease. One of the challenges of being a horse trainer is getting around the vast show grounds. Checking on the horses in their stables, running to the show office, getting to the competition rings all take time and some show facilities are truly vast. Trainers use a variety of vehicles to get around...golf carts, scooters, and bicycles. I've used a bicycle for many years, since neither my RV or horse trailer has room for a golf cart. Recently a friend of mine purchased a Troxus Skyhopper and let me test drive it. I was hooked!
My Skyhopper is the perfect horse show bike. It's stable, nimble, and quiet, so it doesn't spook the horses. Fat tires eat up the gravel roads and the wide fenders keep dust and dirt at bay. I mounted a trunk bag on the luggage rack, perfect for hauling my supplies around. And it easily fits in my horse trailer or RV rack. Best of all, it's FUN....great for an after work ride to the beach and classy enough to take into town for dinner. Sporty and powerful, the Skyhopper is the ultimate ride for work, commuting and just plain enjoyment.
