Background: 58 year old who recently fell in love with this Troxus folding eBike. His first eBike. It has been great for exploring my local area of Charlotte, NC, greenways, and also taking with me on road trips. As 250lbs guy, who recently had a hip replacement, I was somewhat “worried” that the max I have been able to get from my default 10Ah battery was roughly 27 miles total, using mostly PAS 4 - 5 and some throttle. I take long rides and when/if I run out of juice, my leg/hip is not strong enough to manually pump far with the weight of the folding eBike.
Now: I wanted the most powerful battery I could get for my Troxus Folding eBike, and the great customer service given by the guys at Troxus let me know that currently the 15Ah is the highest option compatible with my eBike. They also went above and beyond to advise me to wait until the Black Friday sale to get a significant discount, which I did.
I am very pleased with the 15Ah battery, which gives me at least 1/3 more capacity and allows me to have my 10Ah battery on standby when I travel or when I anticipate being on a long day of riding.
